Client infrastructure review • Free sample
Four questions to strengthen your next client infrastructure review.
Choose one client and one upcoming budget, renewal or migration decision. For each question, record the evidence you have, what remains unknown and who owns the next action.
01
Can you connect material infrastructure spend to an owner and workload?
Evidence to seek: current billing or allocation records linked to workload owners.
If unanswered: identify the largest unassigned cost and its accountable owner.
02
Has restore testing demonstrated agreed recovery objectives for critical workloads?
Evidence to seek: dated restore-test results and business-approved recovery objectives.
If unanswered: establish the missing objective or test evidence.
03
Are product versions and support status verified?
Evidence to seek: version inventory and current vendor support information.
If unanswered: validate support status for workloads involved in the next decision.
04
Are dependencies and acceptance owners validated before migration?
Evidence to seek: dependency records, business ownership and acceptance criteria.
If unanswered: resolve the dependency or ownership gap before fixing a migration date.
Record the evidence. Name the unknowns.
For each question, record: evidenced, partial, known gap, unknown or not applicable. Include the source and date. Explain any exclusion.
An unknown answer is not a low-risk answer. This sample supports a planning conversation; it does not certify an environment or calculate failure probability.
Which missing answer could change your next client decision?
Connect the findings to an action plan.
The full Third Sight Client Infrastructure Review Kit expands this approach to 12 signals and adds an editable workbook, action plan and executive summary template.
